while in San Fran i thought it'd be a lovely time to visit a special place of mine..

when i was just over a month old me and mom hopped on a plane from Vegas to San Fran so i could get baptized with relatives at a family frequented church. it was a small visit before heading to meet up with my dad & siblings in New Delhi, India.

old churches are beautiful.

me and San Francisco were mean't to be.

seeing as how most of my vacation itinerary consists of trying new places to eat i thought i'd share a few, and what better way to start than with breakfast. Brenda's was a short walk from our motel and just a 15 min wait for a table.

breakfast, how i love you...  let's run away together.

magnificent dinning room! wow, i neeeed a mirror wall.

i had the banana fosters french toast. he had a cheese egg sandwich topped with bacon relish and a side of grits.

Brenda's also had variety of beignets on the menu. there were some filled with chocolate and apples soooo hard not to order them!

i wish every saturday could start like this one...

with a trip to the market..

a good cup of coffee.

sweet places filled with the prettiest of cookies.

it's ok..get a little fancy.

some chocolate wouldn't hurt either.

pick up some posh vanilla to make your home goodies extra tasty.

fall a little bit in love with ceramics.

delicious dinner bites? yes, must have those too.

these mushrooms made me beyond happy.

they remind me of my Tita Betty when she'd take me morel mushroom hunting in the forrest's of france.

well now that's a whole different kind of favorite saturday..

these shots were taken at the Ferry Building Marketplace, a must visit in San Francisco. they have an outside farmers market a few days a week and some mighty fine eats!
